Default I am about to do the relay mod

I am about to do the relay mod to my 308 that leaves the headlights in the down position when using the parking/marker lights. It involves the use of two 200v/1amp diodes.

In the diagram one end of the diode is marked with a band denoting polarity (cathode) and the other is marked as anode. Which way does the current flow?

Thanks guys, DJ

Default Thanks JR, The description rem

Thanks JR, The description reminds me of the explanation on how a Choke Tranformer works.

I think I'll play hooky form work tomorrow and spend some quality time with my Ferrari.

Default DJ, If you have the diagram

DJ,

If you have the diagram for the Mod handy, post it for future readers.

Here is the article from our regional site. There aren't any pictures but gives step by step instructions. Well written and pretty easy to understand when looking at the car at the same time. I'll try to work up some pictures or diagrams when I start on the mod.

Default I just found a thread from Apr

I just found a thread from April dealing with this mod and it offers a number of clarifications and refinements to the procedure. Should make for an easier fix and cleaner installation.

Please excuse the cross reference but in the interest of getting the job done right I had to include it.
