Default Does anyone know how to remove

Does anyone know how to remove the instrument panel cluster to access the lamps? Manual says remove steering wheel and then two nuts near bottom of the cluster, but I can't see these nuts.

Default Bill, you first have to pop

Bill,

you first have to pop off the Black Plastic Bezels, behind them are two scews. I never pull the steering wheel, they should barely wiggle past with it on.

Default Thanks JRV, but I can't fi

Thanks JRV, but I can't find these black plastic bezels. Car is an '89 USA with the knee crash pad if that makes a difference. Inside area of leather instrument pod is completely covered with the plastic lens, no side panels. What am I missing here? I'm trying to remove the "slow down" lamps on this car, which has no cats. The lamps and buzzer occasionally come on, but as there is no function for the thermocouples, they are just a nuisance. Next I'll look for the buzzer to unplug as well.

Default Bill- you might find it easier

Bill- you might find it easier to simply disconnect the sending units in the engine bay. Follow the metal-sheathed wires from the muffler area to the boxes above the right rear wheel. The sending units can be removed, and the wires taped over.
