Guys, I was so tired of looking at the foam heating crap on my 348 I had to do something with it. This is my first Ferrari and I only had it for 5 months and that heat foam drove me crazy. It was sagging and had a small hole torn in it. People always want to see the motor in the car, and how bad does that stuff make the motor look. Not mine anymore! This is a great forum and I’m new to it. Thanks for all the help in the beginning and I hope this brings some ideas to other people. My best friend owns the biggest car audio & accessory store in Pittsburgh. He is mechanical engineer, master technician and as you can see a custom fabricator. We also put Hyper-Flow race pipes and a Tubi on. There is no comparison in the world on how good my car sounds now. Sorry my motor is a little dirty, I have not detailed the car yet. It came off the truck and I have been driving it. My car is an 89 348 with 19k. Thanks again. Enjoy!

Guys, this was engineered; it was not just cut out of template and stuck on. There is a 1/8th inch gap all around the polished stainless to prevent rubbing of the piece and also to help it breathe. Behind the piece is 1/8th inch thick aluminum backing plate that provides a better heat shield than the foam. The aluminum dissipates heat allot better than the foam ever did. The foam would just get hot, hold the heat, make the glue real weak and then start to sag and fall on the engine. It has been on for about two weeks and no problems at all. Paint is PERFECT!
