Got high resistance for #4 plug wire so I was gonna redo the connection at the dist. cap. But the brass screw is too tight to remove, and all I'm doing is mutilating it. I'm afaid I'll have to buy a new dist. cap as I'm gonna ruin this one getting that screw out. Any ideas on how to safely extract it?

Try some penetrating oil, and let it sit for a few hours. I just replaced all my wires, caps and rotors on my TR.

Those screws are easy to wreck. Make sure you have the proper size, small, screwdriver. I put the screwdriver in, pushed hard and turned slowly. If the slotted portion is ruined.......you are done!!!

Want to buy a used cap?.........haha!
