Default Transmission Shift Adjustment

First, let me say it was good to see the new site format change. I always liked the people here. Just a brief note to get the volume going.

I noticed on my Boxer recently that the shifts were requiring a little more force to get into gear. Also, a couple of times when I down shifted into third I got fifth. I knew the adjustment from the shifter to the transmission was probably a little off. I had the same issue on a 308 several years ago though I think it was a reverse vs second issue.

Well, after putting the car in third and losening the adjusting mechanism, I rotated the rod about 5 degrees in the correct direction and tightened everything back up.

I must have nailed the adjustment. I could not believe the difference. The car shifts like butter now. Should have done this a long time ago.
