While searching for brake-bleeding equipment, I ran across one offered by Mayco. It is their Phoenix System Maxpro 205. It bleeds the brakes from the "opposite" end.........that is, one bleeds from the bleed screw, backwards, to the the reservoir.
Has anyone heard of this system? Is it any good? It seems that with the standard pressure bleeders, one gets an assortment of various caps, for the reservoir.........and, they probably don't have one for the screw-on cap reservoir, found on the TR, or Boxer! Any thoughts? Thanks |

I like the "Power Bleeder Pro" by Motive Products (www.motiveproducts.com) Works great, and uses a hand pump to pressure bleed. Much better than the Phoenix, which I also bought.

Bill,
You have stated that you have the Phoenix, and don't like it.............that thing costs over $400, from Matco........and one still needs the bladder attachment, for the reservoir, which I can't find in the catalog. I just saw the video, for the Phoenix, and I wasn't impressed...........I will pass on it. Do you know if the "Power Bleeder Pro" can be used on the TR and/or Boxer? Thanks |

I believe it will work with these. The round black cap that comes with it fits Daytona and 308, 328, so I think the cap threads are all the same. This thing is a real bargain at less than $100, and I've found I can bleed a completely dry system out by myself in about 15 minutes. Only thing I found is that the hose connection between the bleeder tank and selected cap fitting sometimes weeps a bit, so I wrap a towel around this and tie with ty-wraps just to be safe.
