Hello
Hi everyone,
Im new here and seek some help to a problem please? I have a 2006 F430 F1 Spider with 22000 miles and when I drive the car from cold, everytime I pull up at junction etc the F1 red gearbox warning light comes on and the car goes into 'N' with SLOW DOWN flashing in the display. After about 5 seconds the lights go out and 1st gear can be engaged as normal, then the E-Diff switch on steering wheel will only allow driving in 2nd (slippery conditions) mode, and the word 'E-DIFF' and a warning symbol then flash up in warning display in Tacho, after about 15 mins, when car is warmed up, the car automatically goes into 'SPORT' mode, where the switch has always been in, with a 'BEEP' and things are quite normal. Except that less often now, when slowing down for lights etc, the original problem returns, red gearbox warning light, stuck in 'N' etc, this lasts between 2 secs and 1 minute, before returning to normal driving mode. I must add that today, for first time, when appearing to be driving normally, the gear changes seem to have gone into 'slow motion' with a noticable delay as I change up! Can anybody throw any light on possible cause and remedies please? Thank You Redmodena, UK
