My pleasure...
...to introduce myself. My name is Joe, and I'm an Artillery Engineer, Army officer, and sportscar/antique car enthusiast. I own a very well-conditioned 1978 308 GTB, as well as several late model Mercedes, a Porsche 944, several American cars from the 1950s, and a number of 1930's Ford farm tractors. Recently, my wife and I began looking for a Citroen 2CV, upon seeing several in Paris in the fall of 2010, that were being rallied by the Paris 2CV club. I also have a two MGBs, which taught me almost everything I know abojut automotive repair.
I'm interested to meet anyone who enjoys discussing engineering, automobilia, history, or travel, or any combination of these. In 2008 I was honored to be asked to be the engineering manager for BAE Systems' Heavy Brigade Field Artillery programs, a position about which I'm very passionate. In my military career, I have met and continue to serve with many of the finest soldiers and NCOs in the world.
I'm very enthusiastic to share whatever information, knowledge, or resources I have with someone else who will benefit. I enjoy doing my own automotive maintenance, and also enjoy sharing techniques and lessons-learned with others.
...Sincerely looking forward to meeting anyone who introduces him/her-self.
Joe
