Default 308 Piston Broke!

My 308 GT4 has dropped an exhaust valve and holed a piston in the process. Can anyone help regarding replacing the piston please. Is it possible to remove the piston and con rod without taking the engine out please. I had hoped that I could split the con rod by dropping the sump off and removing the cap bolts then push the piston up and out of the engine block. Has anybody tried this please.
