Howdy folks,
I drove the car

Howdy folks,
I drove the car to a car show this weekend. It was the first time I've needed the heat because it was about 40 deg. Anyway- I slid the temp slides to red, the fan on full, and let it run. After the car was well warmed up (20 min. on the highway), I noticed I was still a bit chilly. I felt the air coming out of the vents and it was NOT warm.

I'm pretty sure I had the controls in the correct position for heat. I moved the sliders back to blue and it got even cooler. I slid the defrost sliders back and forth and that only changed where the air was being directed.

I see there are filters in the system that need cleaning/changing. I see no mention in any of the records for the car of these being serviced in any way.

Where should I start?

Thanks

Hi John,

The thing to look

Hi John,

The thing to look at is if in fact the console levers are moving the heater valve arms to the correct positions. You check this by removing the front plastic cover that is part of the spare tire well. You might want to try opening the heaters again, removing radiator cap (cold/warm), then bleeding the radiator to force water into the heater cores and any trapped air out, this is especially important the first time per season the heater is used..

Regards, JRV
