After a long break I am now finishing the service on the GT4. I am currently re-installing the distributor oil seals. I have a picture from the disassembly which shows that the "closed" side of the seals is on the distributor side and the "open" side is on the engine side. Is this correct? Which tool can I use to press the seal into the housing?

I have put the seals in with t

I have put the seals in with the open side towards the camshaft, this is the only way it makes sense after looking at it a bit longer.

I have used a little amount of silicone in the housing/seat as a grease and a flat piece of wood to press it in. This way it needs strong hand pressure to slide in. Hope this was the right procedure.
