I have a plasitc wire connecto

I have a plasitc wire connector in my engine bay with a single black wire in one end and a black and a white wire in the other end. It's located in the area of the dipstick handle and front cam belt cover. The single black wire disapperas under the intake plenum, whereas the other 2 wires disappear around the alternator bracket. Q--what do these wires connect to?

Hi Doc,

from the pic in you

Hi Doc,

from the pic in your profile you have a 4V 308 correct?

The only wires that are factory in the dipstick/cam cover area that I can think of are the AC Compressor wires. One of the AC Compressor wires (+) does run under the intake plenum. The other wire bolts up to the upper most dipstick securing bolt on the cam cover itself.

If they're not the AC Comp. wires, is it possible the wires are aftermarket add-ons?

Regards, JRV

I've not got that on my 30

I've not got that on my 308QV ... mine's a UK model (i.e. RHD) - at least I'm pretty sure I don't ... will have to have a look and see!
