Hi JRV (et al!)

Wondering if anyone knows, offhand, proper size for the "donut" exhaust gaskets for US 328 (always love to have parts *prior* to disassembly!). My parts manual shows one between front header & connector, another between rear header & connector, and one on either side of the convertor.
Is this a NAPA-available part? Any reccomendations on lubricant (anti-seize) on flanges? And replacing hardware - grade 8 metric bolts or stainless (fracture risk?)?

Of course thanks everyone in advance. Merry Christmas!

Hi Carl,

Generally the donu

Hi Carl,

Generally the donuts can be re-used without leaks. If for some reason they become damaged and must be replaced I acquire new ones from a Ferrari specific parts supplier such as AW Car Parts or GT Car Parts, or Algar. I am not aware of an American/NAPA replacement in the correct size, but maybe others know something.

Thanks JRV. If I get adventurous I'll pull exhaust and try to match up. From pictures on sodacomms website appear to be relatively common round tapered.

Thanks once again,
Carl

Here's a couple of #'s that may help:
the double bevel gasket is a Car Quest #F20223.
The single bevel with steel straight section is a Fel Pro # 60299.

Thanks Matthew!

Are these the two I'd need (2 of each) for the US 328 exhaust?

Thanks,
Carl

Carl

I searched in vain all over Vegas for a day for the donuts went to custom muffler shops, Midas, etc, they are a overly large size and unavail except thru Ferrari parts
resellers the same with the bolts as the nuts have a small cut in them to lock on the threads.

You can reuse the donuts if you put some high temp RTV on them, they will seal fine

Just went out & ran down t

Just went out & ran down the two above-mentioned exhaust donuts today. Simepl donut is Carquest #F20223 and flanged is CQ# F7171. A bit less than factory at $3.40 & $7.12/ea respectively.

Measurements are:
F20223: ID 2.03" OD 2.40" height 0.435"
F7171: ID 1.785" OD 2.41" height (total) 0.660 (flange only) 0.230"
Apologies all measurements in English units my calipers are a bit older.

Pictures of each:

Mr. Ryerson do these match the factory ones you purchased?

Carl

PS Jealous of 930...when I was in 11th grade one of the senior guys' father bought him am 84 930...which he learned to drive a manual transmission on...

I only got to the cat

Carl

I only got to the cat gaskets, the 20223 looks like it but as I recall they were about 2.75" diameter, I could be wrong.

Funny I went to Carquest and Napa searched all catalogues they had nothing was big enough

Thought I'd give this thread some closure.

For the 328 I could *not* match factory gaskets with anything else & ultimately purchased factory. Expensive but glad I did.

Hope this helps someone in the future.
