JRV,
I will soon be taking my 355 for an in situ belt change. The work will be done by Verdi who is well known for carrying out this type of service and pics will be taken to illustrate how he does it.
I am curious how your belt changes are done and whether you have considered the in situ method .
Thanks for the input.

Hi Tony,

Hi Tony,

it's not my method of choice because one is prevented from seeing/getting into all the nooks and crannies where those annoying "other problems" can pop up.

Hi Tony,

I'm an old cog

Hi Tony,

I'm an old cogger set in my ways....I have ONE way of doing things that I feel comfortable with, knowing I've done the best that can be done. That one way of course is the more difficult & time consuming thourough way. It's easy for all to see that doing the minimum amount of work one can get away with should result in less hours & parts and hopefully that would equate to a savings of dollars for the owner. Doesn't always work like that but we can always hope it will. Not trying to be harsh, but I'll leave the fast & dirty work for the magicians that love all the Trix.

However all the above is just me and I'm sure the members here would love to see the picture essay of the job. And I'm sure there are owner DIY'ers that would benifit from knowing how to get in, get the belts done and get out with the minimun amount of difficulty. As a shop owner I choose not to practice to many shortcuts because of the nature of this game.

Regards, JRV
