I'm going to have my 456gt

I'm going to have my 456gt alternator rebuilt and I'm asking for any tips to give the shop that's going to rebuild it. Isn't the voltage regulator in the alternator in the 456? Should I ask for a higher amp rating or will that adversely affect the wiring capabilities (wouldn't larger guage wiring be needed then?)?

I can't think of any reasons anything other than a normal rebuild would be in order. Yes the alt has a built in regulator...just insist the best heavy duty (new)reg availible is used in the rebuild process.
