My clutch hose # 108865 is lea

My clutch hose # 108865 is leaking, $180 thru trutlands $130 from ferrari uk + shipping

the only ind parts supplier I found that had 1 is a generic hose $33, it had the same type of fittings a banjo and 12mm female flare but it was a coarse thread and the hose is 9" which is about 4" short.

So I need a 12mm fine female flare with a banjo and about 13" in length, any alternatives or just bend over and take it?

Thanks

Jeff - there is a local shop that makes hoses for everything. Give them the old one and they will make a new one at a fraction of the cost. Do you have such a shop in your area? If not, I would be happy to take it to my guy. Overnight it to me, and they will turn it around in an hour or so, and I can ship it back. (Is this a steel braided hose? Do you want it to be?)

Let me know.

Thanks much Jim,

I already tried it, but the hose shop wrecked the female 12mm piece on my original hose and lost the small flat piece in the hose fitting the male flare from the clutch line goes into, so it leaks. So I am stuck needing a new hose.

The fittings are unique so they cut my old ones off and welded them to new fittings to crimp on which would have worked but they wrecked the old fitting.

So I dont have a good hose to even make a copy with.

Talking to a few vendors they mentioned some of these hoses from Ferrari at $180 each had leaks due to bad crimping, they then reccomended their customers use Aeroquip hoses, so I'll start this search if they make the metric fittings.

Well Aeroquip does not make a fine thread metric 12mm, as well this is a unique flare type fitting it wouldn't work anyway so the bottom line is if you have a incompetent guy try and make you a new one by cutting off and welding the old ends on new hose watch out you'll buy a new one for $180.

Also, these are also the same hoses Trs use for the brake hose
