I have a 1985 308 QV,it starts

I have a 1985 308 QV,it starts very easy when cold, but when it is warmed up, it will take 20 seconds each time to get it to start, also when running for 15 - 20 minutes it does not idle very well. I read other emails dealing with this issue. It looks like it may need a fuel accumulator and maybe a check valve. Could this also be the reason for the none idling? Where can I find a fuel accumulator and check valve. Please does anyone know this info, maybe website or phone #. Thanks for your help.

Accumulator shouldn't have anything to do with the poor idle though. You might want to check the warm-up regulator.

Idle problems can be so many d

Idle problems can be so many different things. Check your cold start injector on the passenger side of the air plenum. If it is stuck open you may be running very rich causing some idle and hot start problems. Also check for air leaks in the intake side of the engine. Fuel pressure, dirty injector(s). The list goes on and on.

I also had a hot start problem

I also had a hot start problem.
I replaced the Fuel accumulator with a standard Bosch unit for like $80 from a local VW parts house. Problem persisted. Long story short: the fuel pump had an intermittent. Some fuel line pressure testing found the problem.

Also, how's your Fuel Pump fuse look? Oxidized? melting the wire or connector?

Never thought about the fuse,

Never thought about the fuse, I will check before ordering parts, thanks for all the info, advise and the websites.
