While brousing through my Test

While brousing through my Testarossa "Technical Information" manual, I came across some sheets that give 12 different procedure steps in checking the TR's Microplex Ignition System, dated 4/20/87 (also includes 3.2 V-8).

It involves the use of a 25 pin connector, part # 95970020 which I am trying to get. These tests are done on the car, with the use of this special interconnector.

It seems that the AC voltage comes from the TDC Pick-Up, and the Tachimetric Pick-Up.

I found this interesting.

While brousing the Ferrari forums, I haven't read any mention of a "Technical Information" manual. It is filled with specs that compliment, and add, to the service manual. It also has all dated service bulletins recorded, regarding any upgrades to the car.

If anyone on F-Talk wants extra information on their TRs, then let me know.

Hi Henry,

do you think that

Hi Henry,

do you think that info might be helpful to have online? If so maybe it would be nice to have3 it availible in the Tech Archives Section. I have to admit that when you guys ask a question that requires reference material such as the looking up/verifying the answers it takes me much longer to reply because of time constraints.

Regards, JRV

The manual is over 150 pages.

The manual is over 150 pages. I am not that good with a computer, to scan these, and place them on-line. Many of the sheets are 2-page fold-outs, expecially in the electrical diagram sections.

Of interest is the Service Bulletin Index section, which is a list of "Change Notice" sections. This refers to various upgrades, including the month, year, and Chassis no., when these changes where made.

Some part numbers might help:

#1): Technical Information Binder......Ferrari part No. 900003707.

#2): Wiring diagram 1986/87 TR (US version).......No. 95990839.

#3): Wiring deagram 1988 TR (US version)..........No. 95990860.

#4): Klippan Seat Belt Tester Instructions.........No. 900003704.

#5): Recall Book No. 145 (regarding the recall campaign of the TR passive restraint system.....March, 1989)......No. 900003705.

#6): Instructions on the passive restraint system tester......requires some tester.......No.30407900

If I could help with specific questions, I would do so.
