I have an odd question here, I have a customer that has an 87 Testarossa and wants to add power steering to it, I know it sounds crazy but he wants if cause he finds his car hard to turn when putting it away in his garage. Has anyone ever done this or thought about doing it? Please any kind of info will be greatly appreciated. O by the way I am located in Spain. Thanks for the input guys. There is a very reputable guy

There is a very reputable guy called Gary Bobileff who shoulkd be able to help.He has already done that on a few cars in the past.I am sure that he will bale to sell you a unit that you may be able to install although these cars are big and the factory had not planned to instll power steinf systems in them generally

You know, I subscribe to Kit C

You know, I subscribe to Kit Car magazine and about 8 months ago there was an add for an electric assist power steering module. I wanted to install it on my Mondial mainly for parking.
Apparantly it's only good for when the the steering linkage has resistance meaning that it wouldn't work at speeds which is fine with me since I'm very happy with it at speed. It's just supposed to "assist" when you need it most.
It's very small and easy to mount by the looks of it. The question would be putting it somewhere within range of the linkage. I think this would be an awesome fix for Mondial's, 308, and Testarrossa's...rear engine I mean since there's plenty of room in the front for it.
Please let me know if anyone's truly interested and I'll dig up the Magazine.
For now check this link out - NOTE: THIS IS NOT THE ONE I'M TALKING ABOUT BUT AT LEAST THERE'S OPTIONS.

hi i have just bought a 91 testarossa and find the steering / turning when parking or at very slow speeds heavy. It does not really affect me but my wife will not drive the car because of this (not a major issue) however i would like her to experience the thrill of driving a ferrari. Does anyone know the impact on the price of the car. Does it depreciate the value in any way by taking the original feel of the car away?
