Just a quick little dodad I fo

Just a quick little dodad I found out.
While fighting with the Boxer with the ignition box problem I noticed that the car could use a tune-up. upon inspecting the ignition rotor I noticed a small amount of arcing. Nothing to be to concered about, but I tought i would inquirer about a price to replace it.

I turns out that this rotor in NLA from FNA or Maraelli. So what is one to do if you need and ignition rotor?

I was looking through an ignition systems parts book and I found a rotor that looks very similar to the one used in the ferrari. It's for and older maraelli ingition Jag V-12. I ordered the rotor. I'm going to see if it will work if slightly modified.

I also found a I beleive to be the Ferrari 2 Valve injection rotors in the same book. I have also ordered 2 of these to see if there the same. The book says they fit alfa and lancia. The book itself is a new book printed in 03, so I'd imagine the rotors are not old stock, but still in production.
I'll post pics and let you guys know what i find out.

Tom,

I've never had any

Tom,

I've never had any problem getting those rotors from Ted Rutland's...but it has been a while since I ordered any. Perhaps Ferrari-UK can supply, as well.

Regards,
David

Tom,

as Boxers were Gray Ma

Tom,

as Boxers were Gray Market, I'm not sure FNA ever stocked/sold Boxer Ign. Rotors? In any case the rotors have never been a common failure or replacement item.

Please keep us informed about this new parts source and whether the parts you've ordered will fit.

Regards, JRV
