I will soon be needing new tir

I will soon be needing new tires on my BBi, and find that these are truly rare.

Michelin TRX 240/55 VR 415

Tire Rack does not have these, via their site.

Is this size readily available in Europe? Is there any option of replacing the wheels, with a more "standard" size?.......I would imagine this to be rare also.

Henry,

There are other options, if you want to go to a more standard size tire.

Option 1) Install OE 15x9" wheels on the car. They are still available...

Option 2) This is the route I took. Call BBS Motorsports and have thm locate a set of BBLM wheel centers. Then you can have wheels made up in any size. I'm running 17x8" in the front...and 17x10" wheels in the rear. Bridgestone S-03s on both ends...With the LM set-up, you still retain your knock off hubs.

$3200 for the wheels
$700 for the tires

David,

David,

I tried a Web search......no luck. Do you have the Web site, or phone number?

It would appear that this could NOT be done on the present Boxer wheels.

OUCH!! Over $1,500 for a set of those tires! Think I'm going to switch to 17" wheels/tires when my TRX tires starting getting worn down. I'll put them aside for car shows.

Hi...........

Don't for

Hi...........

Don't forget that years destroy tires just as efficiently as mileage. Saving TRX or XWX tires for use at a future date can be a safety risk. They will not last forever, even with tread. Check the Tire Rack site for suggestions for storage conditions and longevity of tires.
