Hi JRV et al!

Recently purc

Hi JRV et al!

Recently purchased a basic CIS fuel pressure testing kit (consisting of hose with shut-off valve, T for gauge hose, and multiple adaptors). On my 328 (K/KE jetronic), where specifically would I install to measure proper pressures?
(i.e. which fuel lines to attach to?)

Apologies in advance if this is a basic question. Searched multiple archive threads which reference (and referenced Probst/Ferrari manuals) without coming across specific answer?

Thanks in advance,
Carl

Thanks David. Great site, but

Thanks David. Great site, but I'm looking for info specifically on the Ferrari system. As I see it now, optimally I should try and connect (in series, with pressure gauge T'd in) to line leading from fuel distributor to warm-up regulator?

Could also (I think) read system pressure from input line to fuel distributor.

Any futher thoughts?

Thanks as always,
Carl

Hi Carl,

The CIS tester sim

Hi Carl,

The CIS tester simply connects between the top of the FD (Fuel Distributor) and the Warm up regulator after first disconnecting the stock line. Sometimes with some testers special fittings and/or adapters may be neccesary to make leak free connections.

Hi Carl,

my set has a bleed

Hi Carl,

my set has a bleeder valve, if yours has none, then slightly unscrew a fitting and wrap with a cloth, pressurize momentatily. Not really sure hat trapped air will matter much though. Bleeding is just insurance I suppose as liguid will compress gas.

Yes I'll be in all next week, looking forward to finally meeting you. Call the shop and leave a number and I'll return the call with my cell phone number so we can definately co-ordinate.

Regards, JRV
