Hello,
I am trying to dial in

Hello,
I am trying to dial in my Tr, I installed Tubi with test pipes and it messed up my co rating exhast, my left bank was to lean, my right bank off the board rich!! We hooked it up to the machine, and got it close, but it still looks like my right is rich!! I pulled the plugs on both sides, right bank looks fouled, left looked clean!! Any ideas what might be up with this, it still runs a little choppy at idle, and pops a little around 4k rpm's, I can't hear that when I'm driving, and the performance seems just fine, but when my friend follows me, he can hear the pop at 4k!
Thanks..Robert

Rob: I had Tubi exhausts installed, and later, test pipes, on my 88 TR..........had no driving problem afterward. I have learned that adjusting the CO should come last.........after confirming no FI, or ignition problem.

Start with the basics, how old

Start with the basics, how old are the plugs, wires, etc. Then move on the FI, injectors, cold start injector could be leaking or spraying when it isn't suppose to. Checking fuel pressures would be a good idea. See what your system pressure is. The WUR may not be coming up to warm control pressure specs. Keep us posted.

RBO,

did you disconnect the O2 sensors to adjust mixture and verify both sides have equal manifold vacum? If not, you will need to first equalize air intake volume (Manifold Vacum), then disconect O2 sensors & try to set mixture again.

If that doesn't bring the rich bank inline it gets complicated from there.

Hey JRV,
Yes we disconected the 02 sensor's when we had it on the infered, then we got the co as close as we could! Have not checked the vacum yet, will do that next!! Thanks JRV...

Hi RBO,

get 2 Manifold Vacu

Hi RBO,

get 2 Manifold Vacum Gauges and T them in, one on each bank & set as even on both sides as it will get while missing, then the fuel mixture adjustments next.

Then we'll have to go from there.
