I was reading some K-Jetronic

I was reading some K-Jetronic theory and noticed that pre 84' 308 QVs have an internal pressure regulator in the Fuel Distributor. I then checked my 85' QV and it has what looks like a pressure regulator next to the frequency valve. In the manual it is called Damper for metering device.
Is this a pressure regulator? Does the 85' have the pressure regulator inside the Fuel Distributor too or just the external pressure regulator?
How would you test this part? Thanks.

the pressure is still set via

the pressure is still set via the valve inside the fuel head. the warm up regulator sets the control pressure. The device you mention is a damper, it protects the warm up regulator diaphragm against pressure surge. I have no idea how to check it, other than to bypass and watch the pressures with or without it in the system.
