Yes it's true...FTALK has new owners...as I have posted I have health issues and when Verticalscope Inc. presented me with an offer I couldn't refuse, I contimplated what was best for The Community and accepted.
Actually nothing will change as all the Mods will remain as in the past, however the new site owners will be doing considerable upgrades to FTALK to improve membership & functionality.
The new guys are hard core Car Nuts and they plan on doing many improvements that was simply beyond my means. Several of VS's top guys own Ferraris and will probably check in from time to time to ask for advice. Running forums is not my first love in life, working on Ferraris & Lamborghinis is. This new situation will free up alot of my time & energy so that I can get back to my basics, helping owners have more fun with their toys (when my health permits)!!!!
This is really a non-issue for all The Members of the Community, because VS is here to help us grow & improve. I think the benifits for our members is tremendous, because VS can do things I simply can't. And they are interested in doing interviews & magazine articles about owners that I can't provide, so it's really a very big win for FTALK members! I had several offers & I picked a team of REAL Car Nuts that can & will take FTALK into the future & give alot of members a chance at being published in an International Magazine! There are many guys here that deserve credit and with VS they can get the Credit They Deserve!! This site was founded on the premise of making winners and VS can take my original goal to a higher level than I ever imagined in the begining.
For me this is a giant relief getting to go back to my roots as a Mechanic and letting others worry about security & other site issues. I'm also very comfortable with the quality of the new owners & the direction that they want Ftalk to take. We are going to see so many improvemts & additional features that I'm actually looking forward to future and how bright it will be and let me tell everyone that ALL of our Mods and Former Controls on Decorum are still in place & embrassed by VS. In fact, one of their deciding factors on chooseing us was how well a large Community like this can get along and act with Dignity & Common Social Manners at all times!!! They were actually amazed at our Gentlemanly Conduct in all of our affairs!!!
