unless you are very familiar with how all the linkage inside & outside the trans works as a system, then it's likely the easiest way to readjust everything is by removeing the Trans Pan (draining the gear oil first), and from inside the trans putting the gears into 2nd or 3rd, after loosening the shift rod coupler, and then realigning your shift handle into the proper gate and then retightening everything. After the readjust carefully shift into all gears until you are certian that the adjustment is spot on, then button everything up.
It helps to have a second person shifting while you watch the selector forks working to insure they work smoothly and correctly.
