A CLEAR SPRAY THAT DISTORTS A LICENSE PLATE IMAGE AND HELPS DRIVERS BEAT TICKETS FOPR RUNNING RED LIGHTS. WHEN SPRAYED ON A LICENSE PLATE PHOTOBLOCKER REFLECTS THE FLASH OF A TRAFFIC-LIGHT CAMERA, BLURRING THE PLATE IN THE PHOTO SO IT'S UNREADABLE. THE MANUFACTURER CLAIMS "IT EVEN WORKS ON E-ZPASS, BUT THE COMPANY ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT ENCOURAGE THAT USE".ANOTHER DISCLAIMER "We do not condone nor encourage the use of our products to defeat toll booth cameras.www.photoblocker.com

So what is your point. Are you encouraging running red lights and tool booths. If so I would hope you are caught and tortured.

I posted it because it made the news today, and I found it quite amusing that some jerk would even think up such a product! And the answer to your question is NO...I am certainly not encouraging anyone to run red lights and tool booths! Enough said....if you can afford a Ferrari then I hope you can afford tolls....

If this idea appeals to you, just go buy a can of high gloss clear spray paint and give your license plate about 10 coats. Works the same, but a lot cheaper. Of course, when a police car gets behind you at night he might not like the idea of being blinded by your reflector license plate! Defacing a license plate....is that an offense?

Houston has a few photo camera

Houston has a few photo cameras up at red lights, and has reminded all scofflaws that this is a BIG no-no! LOL!

Pushing a light here can get ya killed anyway!

Ease up on those stale yellows, but check your rear view mirror as well, for a distant nephew of Fangio.......;)

About 1 year ago, I was tootling (a technical word) down 290 headed west about 55-60 MPH going no place in particular, a light turned yellow and I slowed at a normal pace to a stop. What to my surprise, I caught a glimpse of a dump truck with all 10 tires locked up, which just barely missed me!

Now, mind you, I don't stop for every yellow, and make my judgements carefully.....

But, it seems to me, that a normal slow stop by an SUV should not cause a dump truck to have to lock up all 10 tires to avoid causing my SUV to shrink preciptously in milliseconds during impact.

Around Austin, stopping for a red light can get you killed!

We don't have that problem

We don't have that problem in NY. I think the laws have changed so that people normally run red lights and get pissed at you if you stop for stop signs. Also in NY you can't put any cover over your plates nor can you alter them in any way.
