At idle, my TAC bounces erratically between 1000
and 2000 RPM, occasionally jumping to 3000 RPM.
There is no change in engine note, however,
so I believe these are false readings. When I
give it some gas, the TAC becomes very stable.
How should I go about debugging this?

Hey, JRV,
Any idea's on Lou's Tach problem. We need to keep this guy on the track. I am sure that his Mondial is the fastest one in the country. I have followed him in a stock Mondial on various tracks, and It is faster than many of the cars present. Lou really needs his tach.

Hinestly this is the type of problem that can't be defined or analyzed via the internet.

Without another Tach to plug in this could be very time consuming to diagnois.

Thanks JRV. Other than the erratic reading at idle
the car is running perfectly (well, the A/C stopped
working but that's a separate issue). I'll stop worrying about it.
