Hi all...new Ferrari owner her

Hi all...new Ferrari owner here. One of the first things I plan to do is carefully remove a ton of accessory wiring in my 85 308 GTB QV that remain after an old cell phone and radio amp were installed/semi removed. My fuse box area looks pretty crowded. Would any of you 308 QV owners (yooo hooo...Jeremy!!) mind taking a shot of your stock box and posting it here? I want to know what it originally looked like. This will give me a "point A" to start tracing wires from.

I am an X electronics technician from the Navy so I have a minor clue in this area. I learned enough to NOT be overconfident.

Hello Mike and welcome to Ftal

Hello Mike and welcome to Ftalk.

My fuse box isn't exactly stock. The original owner installed a $2000 Kenwood sound system and an alarm with satellite tracking. I am not that good with the electrical side of things but I am learning.

Let me know if you need any more.

One thing I forgot to mention.

One thing I forgot to mention. My Fuel Pump fuse melted and in the third photo I pulled out the bypass so you could see it.

New fuse blocks are in my future.

What does melted translate as

What does melted translate as exactly? Did the holder fall apart so badly that the cylinder fuse will not hold in place? That is a tad nerve racking for me...Car-B-Q comes to mind.

I think all those little plastic name covers are in the glove box...if not I am replacing them.

Mike,

The plastic melted

Mike,

The plastic melted allowing the bottom connector to lean a little. You can see it in the above pictures. So the connectors are not exactly alligned preventing a tight connection. So they by-passed it.

Here's a better pic under the plastic cover.

I plan on replacing both fuse blocks when I do the 60k service later this year. Won't be long I'll have a new car.

Thanks...thought that is what

Thanks...thought that is what everyone meant. I really like the fuse box location. Can sit nice and comfy while I curse out the engineers who designed it in broken Italian. Or in Johnny Dangerously Italio English...Fargin Ice Holes...Fargin Bastages...Fargin Ship Heads.
