Yeah, I read that after I bought them. I will install as soon as I get'em so that I can have some options dealing with the seller.
Been wanting to bleed the brakes anyway. The last of the "unknowns" with the car. New royal Purple in the tranny, next RP in the engine oil. Next on the list was new brake fluid. Good excuse to do it.
If anyone wishes to get them, and not bother waiting to win an auction, they are available from www.demon-tweeks.co.uk they run about $96 delivered (for a 328), to the USA including shipping and duty. Expect delivery to take around 10 to 14 days though.
I have the same lines on my car. I would do the following ASAP:
1. Make sure the lengths of the lines are correct. I had to send mine back to have them made the correct size. In fact, even on the Ferrari owners site, they have a note in the parts manual to "Check length."
2. You'll want to get some small Copper Flare Gaskets, which will ensure a proper seal. Mine leaked before I had these.
Great info Michael. I will check the lengths as soon as I get them. The copper flare gaskets are a good idea. Don't want any leaks in the brake system, especially when the parking brake doesn't work very well to begin with.
Do you recall what size flare gaskets are needed?
As usual, I will post pics and info as I go along.
Contact Johnny or Joel at Orme Bros., www.ormebros.com, 1-877-ORME-BRS, and they can send you some (may have to charge you). Don't know the specifics on size.
Check out a post I did with a procedure for removing the brake lines... Just a rough procedure to get you "started" if you've never done it before.
When I did them again (to put the copper gaskets in), it was much, much easier--amazing how you do a job once and you learn it!
