While my car is torn apart, I

While my car is torn apart, I am going to get the rear bumper repainted. As it is now it's "okay" but it has significant orange peel texture. I removed the U.S. version central secondary bumper as it did not fit exactly to the main bumper. I will have this corrected also. Question: I'm thinking about filling in the mounting holes and not putting on the secondary central bumper back on. The mounting holes will still be showing on the backside of the bumper, so in the future they could be redrilled and the secondary bumper can be re-installed. I've looked at pics of TRs both ways and don't know which way to go. So I would like to elicit your opinions if you'd care to share them with me. Thanks Guys.

I personally would leave it or

I personally would leave it original. Since I am not into the concours thing, I really don't mind having non-original parts, like hoses, clamps, air pump removal, etc., I would leave certain things alone.......like the body. however, if you REALLY like the look, and plan on keeping the car, then go for it.

While on this subject, I have given thought to reducing the height of the lower fiberglass piece, beneath the front bumper.........scrapes too often. But then the holes would still be there so the original can easily be replaced.
