As many of you know, back in D

As many of you know, back in December I was invited to attend the Red Driving Experience operated by JMB Racing USA. After that unbelievable opportunity I wrote an article about the "Experience" that was later published in the Ferrari Owners Club magazine (Pilota) and later in Executive Flyer Magazine, and maybe more to follow. The interest that the Red Driving Experience has received since the printing of that article has opened another door of opportunity.

On April 26th I will load up with the second largest Ferrari racing team in the world, second only to the factory F1 team, and travel with them to Laguna Seca for the fourth round of the 2005 Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series where I will be an actual crew member for the race weekend.

We have all wondered what the life of a race car driver, or crew member, is like. But most of us have never had the chance to go behind the closed doors, into the pits, and actually live the life that these guys do. For ten days I will be living this life, eating, breathing, sleeping, and working as though I were one of their own…. a real Ferrari crew member.

Stay tuned for more details and updates...

Ha ha ha!!! Thank you Steve and Milton. Believe me, the reality of what I will have the pleasure of doing has not hit me yet. And having already spent some time with the JMB crew at the RDE I know that they are the coolest bunch of guys you would ever want to hang out with. It will be very interesting to see how they work together during a race weekend.

I will, of course, share my experience with you guys with all of the pictures and written accounts...

Hi Rick. This race will have many car clubs involved. Go to www.marquemadness.com to get the details. The FOC and the FCA will be there. So there should be a designated place for all Ferrari owners who wish to bring their cars. I would get with your local club FOC, FCA, or other, and get the local details. No one is being excluded from this event.

JMB RACING USA ANNOUNCES SECOND FERRARI GT ENTRY FOR LAGUNA SECA

MIRAMAR, Florida (April 13, 2005) - In their second Grand American Rolex Series season, JMB Racing USA is pleased to announce today that the team will be campaigning a second Ferrari 360 Grand American GT entry at the next round of the championship in the U.S. Sports Car Invitational at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on the weekend of April 29-May 1.

The Laguna Seca event marks the first time since the 2003 ALMS season that the team will feature two Ferrari entries and the first time for JMB Racing USA in the Rolex Series.

"We are looking forward to Laguna Seca," said team co-owner Ludovico Manfredi. "We have been working hard since Homestead to prepare two cars for that race. Our goal this season is to enter as many races as possible and we are constantly looking for new drivers to join our team. For the first time at Laguna Seca, we will be able to have two cars. The Ferrari 360 Grand American GT #11 will be co-driven by pro-drivers, American Matt Plumb and Italian Constantino Bertuzzi. The second Ferrari 360 Grand American GT #12 sponsored by Leander Estates / Red Bull Civils / Kennedy Homes and Shutterfly will be driven by David Gooding from England and returning Americans to the Rolex Series, Thomas Jermoluk and Dan Kennedy".

"Since 2003 JMB Racing USA has been racing Ferrari 360 GT cars in North America and by entering two Ferrari cars at Laguna Seca, California, we want to make it known to potential drivers interested to enter the world of endurance racing and race a Ferrari GT car in the fastest growing racing series, that our team can offer one of the best cost effective racing packages in the series," said Emmanuel Lupe, team manager and marketing director for JMB Racing USA. "Our Ferrari racing team offers the best mileage in racing team sponsorship and can deliver to its drivers and sponsors multiple ways to enhance their exposure and relationships with clients, suppliers and partners".

JMB Racing USA is in its third season of American endurance competition. Headquartered in a 10,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility in Miramar, Florida, the team continues to grow, aiming to become one of the leading endurance teams in North America. Since its inception in 1995, JMB Racing has won 14 international titles, among which were three Sports Car World Cups in 1998-1999-2000 with the Ferrari 333 SP and one title as FIA N-GT World Champion in 2001 with the Ferrari 360 Modena. The spirit of partnership and cooperation of the JMB Racing team and Ferrari has been instrumental in the team's racing achievements including 41 victories, 40 podium finishes, 24 pole positions and 17 track records!

2005 marks the eight season of collaboration between JMB Racing and Ferrari and the team's tenth winning anniversary season. JMB Racing USA also owns the Red Driving Experience, the first 100% Ferrari racing school in North America.
