Hi guys,

I will be performing the 60k service on the 308 in the near future. I am sure there will be some misc hoses and clamps that will need replacing, but other than that, what parts are replaced? The obvious parts are the timing belts and accessory belts, tensioners, valve cover gaskets, cam seals, valve shims. Anything missing?

Hi Mr. Lawrence,

Might also want to look carefully at:
1. Replacing all fuel hoses (especially lower two connecting crossover to gas tanks) and filler neck hose.
2. Not sure if 308s have, but distributor camshaft end seals?
3. [if not recent] spark plugs, perhaps wireset (about $225 on ebay) & extenders (same $80). Wire brush contacts in caps/rotors.
4. Cooling system hoses/hose sections (in addition to flushing coolant)
5. Flush brake system
6. Inspect clutch & throttle cables
7. Water pump (rebuild/replace)while you're in the vicninity?
8. Clean out power brake check valve (on hose off intake).
9. Oil/air filter, oil and trans oil changes.

Perhaps budget a bit for miscellaneous (wiper blades, alignment). All that comes to top of mind right now (oh, and large $ paper towel funds!)

Hi Carl,

Thank you for

Hi Carl,

Thank you for the insight. I had not thought about the fuel lines and coolant sections. Everything else on your list has been done recently by myself, or I have recent (2-3 year old)receipts for the work being done.
Thank you again for the reply. After I get my alarm grimlin solved, I will be posting your articles for all to see. I must say that they are awesome, and can't wait to share with those that have not seen them.

Happy Holidays to you and your family.

Hi again Mr. Lawrence,

Abs

Hi again Mr. Lawrence,

Absolutely post articles to help out everyone else. Planning on replacing those fuel line hoses myself probably first part of new year; they appear accessible, which means of course will require three times as much fun as expected. Possibly finish brake flushing article if weather warms up this weekend!

Merry Christmas to you in return,
Carl
