I’ve got all the A-arms cleane

I’ve got all the A-arms cleaned and painted, all new ES inner bushings pressed in and welded. The outer rear bushings, I’m replacing all parts except the inner and outer thrush washers and the innermost chromed tube. Question on assembly of these parts, the coated inner washer, the coating in my way of thinking should face away from the pressed in part, is this correct. Also is any lube used on any piece except for on the bolt. The majority of the rubber parts were all but useless when I took them apart, a couple were so hard they fell apart when removed.

Thanks

Bob,

Bob,
It's been many many years since I did the repairs you're involved with. If memory serves me correctly, the coated surfaces points inward...and I coat everything with moly-based grease. A call to Algar, or Rutland's might be in order...Sorry.

Thanks Dave
It does stand to reason the coating would face inward as the washer is pinned, but being a Ferrari reason does not count

No slots, center hole, pin hole, one side plain steel and other side with a teflon type coating

Just did another search on the old Fchat, only thing pertaining to the coated washers was to install the right direction, no mention of which way was correct. I PMed the writer of the post, will report with the findings. No big rush in finding out, just want to be ready in case the weather warms up so I can do the chassis painting, then start putting it back together

Got an answer from Ferrari UK,

Got an answer from Ferrari UK, the coated side of the washer does face the thrush washer, use any good moly grease for assembly
