Prefer Red/Tan but will consider Yellow/Black.

Med to high miles OK. Something with some service records, tools, books. (yes, I know you found one for me JRV, try not to rub it in ;)

Service does not have to be 100% up to date but would like to see that the car has been cared for.

Thanks

Sean, why a '77? I have a '78 GTB (although its not for sale) and I was just wondering if there was some difference in the cars that makes you want a '77 as opposed to a '76 or a '78.

I'd be interested, too, if anyone out there has a car fitting this description for sale. Sean, you can have first crack at it; let me know if there are any you decide to pass on. For me, color isn't really an issue.

Well, if we are talking North American 308's, the 76-77 cars make more hp. 240hp versus 205hp for the 78-79 cars. I have seen the dyno numbers from cars at our club "dyno day" and seem to support those figures...btw, I had a 78 308 GTS, still a great car, if down on power. Mine made a corrected 214hp at the crank, but quite a few mods...no cats, disconnected air pump, K&N, rejetted carbs from 125 mains to 140 mains, crane cams ignition, and NGK EVX plugs. Spent a bunch of time on the dyno to get the jetting right.

'77 b/c of what Dave said.

'77 b/c of what Dave said. It's bad enough these things only have 240HP. Going down another 35HP is not what I want.

Yes, I know it's a Ferrari regardless of the year, but if I'm going to spend close to $30,000 on a car that is 25yr old, then I want what I want.

This is why I asked about the Turbo Esprit. For the price, you get TONS more performance...but then, it's not a Ferrari and I'm a Ferrari guy. My best friend and wife both agree'd I cannot buy a Lotus. It's a 308 or nothing.

Sorry, not a 77B...but would you consider a 86 328 for $27K ??? {

JRV I like the looks of the 32

JRV I like the looks of the 328 but I like my carbs better on my 77B.I just turned 45k and did the 30k tune up again (was done at 32k but was 3 years ago) and car is in great shape but not perfect.

Pretty good price. Just needs a little love to make it right, that's all.
