Where is the most likely place

Where is the most likely place for an aircon leak in a '91 Testarossa? The dealer has updated it to the later type of gas, has held a vacuum for 20 minutes and used some type of uv leak detector and can't find a leak - he now wants to replace the compressor.

I think there is a leak - possibly in the pipes which run inside the car from the compressor to the front of the car - is this likely and how would it be detected? The aircon is fine for a day or so after re-charge and then goes away to nothing.

TIA Andy

If the leak is that big the UV

If the leak is that big the UV Dye will almost reach out and slap you!!

I wouldn't let anyone replace any parts until they can prove that's the leak! Proving exactly where the leaks are IS what the Dye IS ALL ABOUT!

The rubber tubing/seals is different for the 134 Freon than the R12. The older tubing/seals can leak with the 134. It's expensive but upgrading to the newer materials is the best fix.
