Does anyone have first hand experience (or know) the process of ordering a custom Ferrari automobile? I'm thinking like in the days of custom-appointed (or custom bodied) 250's, etc. Or maybe Ferrari, as a car manufacturer has lost the ability to do custom work (or I have another secret idea, which might cause Ferrari to consider it from a marketing standpoint).
ANYHOOOO.....
Inspired by an arsty "partner in high speed crime" named Susan tonight, I've decided to ask Scottsdale Ferrari (where I bought my 550) and Ferrari of Denver (where it's mantained and where my art hangs on the walls) to inquire with Ferrari N/A and Maranello on how soon a custom-manufactured WYO599 Spyder can be manufactured to my custom specs; And what deposit amount is required to pay Maranello to perform the engineering analysis needed to re-skin and re-structure the 599 as a Spyder, with roll bar and roof. And if Ferrari won't do that, maybe I'll just buy a standard hard top and have it chopped to make it a Spyder (or have a custom-made electro-chromatic sun roofed installed, to make it a one-off vehicle worthy of being called the WYO599).
In any event, the WYO599 -will- have HRE custom wheels, because, A)I'm loyal to Renee Gulliford of HRE...and B) Dar_ it, I'm WYO599! And I wouldn't be as notorious as I am - without saying what kind of wheels are on my custom Ferrari 599...the WYO599!
The great thing about the WYO599 is that it will never leave me, even if I (or my estate) sells it to someone else...it will always be the WYO599!
Stay tuned to your Laser Radio!
PS: WYO550 still leads the "Troll of the Year" contest at Ferrari-Chatty Cathy...leading the next nominee by a 30% margin!
Thanks Cathys! You've made WYO even more famous!
