I've been "restoring" my air intakes, and have finally succeeded in getting the air filter lid looking good with black crinkle paint. It took two tries...other colors of crinkle (red & gray) seem to be easier to work with, but this black stuff is a real pain.
What are the "stock" finishes on the other components of the air intake system? My air filter housing lower part has the heat shield on the bottom half, but I can't tell what the black is, satin/semi-gloss or crinkle? Lastly, the intake piece above the muffler appears to be a satin or semi-gloss black...is this correct?
