·I am finishing up on the valve
I am finishing up on the valve adjustment on my TR, on the left bank.
Since I am also replacing the front cam cover seals, I was wondering if there is a better way of installing the cam cover.
On the right bank I installed the cam cover first, then the front cam end cap covers. I ended up in needing to tap the end covers in, with a soft hammer........possibly too much Hylomar! Using this method, one can more easily trim the excess valve cover gasket material, before installing the front end cap cover.
However, one can install the end cap covers first, and then the valve cover gasket.
Which makes more sense? Or does it really matter?
I am using the Permatex spray for the valve cover gaskets, and Hylomar for the O-rings on the end. The rectangular O-rings are coated with Hylomar.
Thanks.
